For Omni Flow Computer applications like OmniCom, OmniConnect, and Modbus Tester, use the “-AU -TB -idle50” switches in the icon’s properties Target/Command line.
-AU switch allows you to export some configuration screens from an existing configuration file, then import to another configuration file. This saves you the trouble of having to manually configure these settings every time, or to temporarily use them for troubleshooting and testing. Right-click on an empty space while on any of the following configuration screens for the Export and Import options.
· Boolean and Variable Statements (Export from Online or Offline configurations. Import only allowed into Offline configurations)
· Custom User Displays (Export or Import in the Online or Offline mode)
· Custom Data Packets (Export or Import in the Online or Offline mode)
· 701 through 710 Raw Data Archives (Export and Import in the Online or Offline mode. Import in the Online mode works only if the Archiving is stopped and the Archive Configuration is enabled)
-TB switch displays the Terminal Block Diagram tab in Omnicom with all the I/O channel pinouts based off the installed modules in the flow computer.
-idle50 switch is used to instruct OmniCom to make a read of at least one Modbus register in the background from the flow computer if you have been sitting idle in OmniCom on the same screen for 50 seconds. When analyzing Boolean/Variable statements for example, you may be idle on that screen for more than 50 seconds. Without the use of the switch, your connection may time out if you sit idle in the same screen for a longer period than the Ethernet module timeout setting if it is set to 1 minute for the purpose of the Omni closing orphaned Ethernet sockets to make them available again to polling devices as soon as possible.
